Benvenuti a Murano, the capital of glassmaking over the centuries since 1291, when the Serenissima moved all the furnaces here to avoid fires in Venice. Today, the glass industry has developed and specialised, reaching levels of absolute excellence. 
 
Together with Giovanna, we will get to know the furnaces that have survived the many crises of the last decades, we will see the master glassmakers as they organise their work, and we will ask them how the materials are obtained and, above all, how a work of art is created in such a handcrafted way.
