Description of the experience

The vision of death that we have in Mexico is special: death is accepted and celebrated, it has been done since time immemorial from the indigenous population until in fusion with Christianity it was moved to the dates of celebration of All Saints' Day. The preparation and decoration of pantheons and altars is the ultimate expression of the celebration and at the same time a work whose decoration is long and expensive but spectacular. Alejandro, our host, will transport us to this solemn ritual: the Day of the Dead altar offerings in Huaquechula, Puebla. A town with pre-Hispanic roots and traditions where we are presented with an altar and its offerings. You will witness the arrival of the dead with the ringing of the bells, the use of the aromatic Cempasuchil flower, as well as the different types of offerings presented on the altar.
